As fall trout stocking begins in our area we thought this would be an ideal time to feature our Big Catch Cabin. In each of our cabins and treehouses we try to bring to life some of the aspects we love about West Virginia. As the name implies The Big Catch was named in honor of the excellent fishing opportunities nearby.
Raleigh County is home to 210 (yes really!) lakes, rivers and other fishing spots. Just moments away you’ll find Little Beaver State Park with 562 acres to enjoy including an 18 acre lake open year round to anglers. Little Beaver also offers kayak, canoe and paddleboat rentals seasonally, has a great playground and approximately 20 miles of hiking trails so bring the whole family along! Another area gem is Fitzpatrick Park, although not as well known it provides a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere and a high likelihood of snagging a bass, sunfish or trout. If you prefer floating, boating, swimming, fishing check out Lake Stephens with 272 acres of opportunity.
